Get Out Of The House

Back on May 18th, our church held it's first (hopefully of many) "Get Out Of The House" days. We showed up for church on Sunday morning for praise and worship and a short message. Then we dispersed out to about 5 different parks, women's shelters, etc. to do cleaning and maintenance for a couple hours. We didn't inform the media or advertise outside the church that we were doing this. We just did it. And it was a lot of fun. My family got to work at a lady's house who is one of the founding members of our church. She doesn't get around very well anymore, so Bob, my son Joey (in the red) and my nephew Nate built her a new back porch.

I am very proud of how hard they worked. My son is sometimes reluctant to help others, but when he finally does, he really enjoys it. We make sure he knows that we are showing others that Jesus loves them.

Courage and God Speed!
